Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and come visit Moreland Fruit Farm

Moreland Fruit Farm is located in southern Wayne County, Ohio, on the edge of Amish Country. The gently rolling hills provide a scenic background for picking your own fruit or visiting our Farm Market.

Currently in Season

Peaches, peaches, peaches.  We have lots of peaches. Check out our daily special. Contender, one of the popular newer varieties, is available in our market now.  Many of our varieties may be unfamiliar to you, but rest assured, they are juicy, delicious and great for canning, freezing, baking, or fresh use.  We do not have pick your own on peaches.

We presently have a special on Yellow Apples, (Transparent and Pristine) which are both good for applesauce.

In our market we also have lots of slicing tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and yellow squash, onions and green beans.

The Blueberry season began early this year and is also ending earlier than usual.  The last variety to ripen still has some berries for picking.  However, the season will probably be over in another week or so.

Blackberries are ripening slowly.  You are welcome to pick any time; however, large amounts may not be available at one picking.

About us

For more than 30 years Fred and Marilyn Finney and family have been providing Wayne County with fresh produce, and a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of life by visiting Moreland Fruit Farm. Visitors can enjoy the rolling hills and peaceful scenery of the farm while they pick their own fruit. Fruits change from season to season, so there's always something new to pick! For those who would rather purchase already picked fruits and vegetables, the Farm Market offers varying sizes of ready-to-go containers filled with fresh produce right from the farm. Also featured in the farm market are hanging baskets and plants, mums in the fall, jams and jellies, gift baskets, and more.

    Farm Tours

We welcome tour groups to our farm. In September and October, tours are given to school children and other groups by appointment. The children visit our orchard and pick an apple to eat and one for the teacher to use in a follow-up activity. They learn how apples grow and about their uses. A favorite stop is our "big refrigerator" - the cold storage. They also see our grading room and market. Each child takes home a small pumpkin. Tours usually last approximately 45 minutes.

Walking tours of the farm can be arranged for groups during the summer months.

A small picnic area is available for visiting groups to use.

A limited number of in-school visits to an individual classroom can also be arranged.

    To arrange a tour, contact:

Marilyn at 330-264-8735 or by email:
